Abstract

PURPOSE: To certainly fasten a surface material by a small amount of an adhesive and to prevent the adhesion of the adhesive to shorts at the time of use, by making the thickness of the adhesive coating part of the part, positioned on the back surface side of a napkin, of the surface material less than that of the part, positioned on the other surface side thereof, of the surface material.

CONSTITUTION: A sanitary napkin is constituted of an absorbing body 11, the liquid impermeable leakage preventing material 12 covering the back surface thereof and the liquid permeable surface material 13 covering the outer surface thereof. Both end parts of the surface material 13 in the lateral direction thereof are arranged in a mutually superposed state on the back surface side of the napkin and fastened along with the leakage preventing material 12 by a heat-sensitive adhesive 14. The adhesive coating part at the part, positioned on the back surface side of the napkin, of the surface material 13 becomes a thin wall part 13a smaller in a specific volume than the part, positioned on the surface side of the napkin, of the surface thickness of the surface material 13. By reducing the thickness of the surface material 13 and coating the reduced thickness part with the adhesive 14, the adhesive 14 can be allowed to penetrate in the surface material 13 by a reduced amount of the adhesive 14 so as to reach the leakage preventing material 12 and the adhesive 14 is hard to exude to the outside at the use time of the napkin and, therefore, the napkin is not bonded to shorts by said adhesive 14.
