Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify the extent of sealing work by applying a sealer base material with a rubberlike elastic body to one side of both sealing surfaces of two parts to be assembled and then covering a nontacky membrane on these surfaces, and afterward, compressing and deforming it in a way of being pressed between both sealing surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A tacky sealer base material 7 with a rubberlike elastic body is applied to each lower sealing surface 4 of two air-conditioning members 1 and 2 being assembled for forming a fluid passage and then a nontacky membrane 8 is covered on a surface of this sealer base material 7. Next, a sealer 6 made up of the sealer base material 7 being covered with this membrane 8 is pressed between both sealing surfaces 4 and 5, compressed and deformed, and a joining part 3 between both these air-conditioning members 1 and 2 is sealed up. Consequently, such work as adding the sealer 6 on the sealing surface can be simplified. In addition, in the state that the sealer 6 is added to the member 1, even if fingers or other members come into contact with the sealer 6, tacky adhesion of the sealer 6 is prevented by the membrane 8 so that sealing work is facilitated.
