Abstract

PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of the productivity of quantities, reduction in weight and durability by punching stainless steel sheets and a light alloy sheet into a disc form with a press die so as to pile the stainless steel sheets onto the both side surfaces of the light alloy sheet for bonding them monolithically thereto with pressure. CONSTITUTION:This stainless steel sheets 1 and a light alloy sheet 2 are individually punched with a press die into a disc form without any die wear using an auxiliary jig. In the second place, each of the thin stainless sheets 1 is piled respectively accompanied with positioning onto the upper and lower surfaces of the light alloy sheet 2 punched into a disc form so as to be bonded together with pressure by means of a roller 3 while being heated upto approximately 500 deg.C for forming a disc for a brake. Owing to this constitution, cutting works along side of both the inner and outer side surfaces may be practically eliminated so as to enable a reduction in cost and the transfer to mass-production, thereby enabling a reduction in weight as well as the improvement of the durability thereof.
