Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a multilayered analytical element, containing creatinase in a specific layer and a sufficient special buffer agent and capable of excluding an influence of creatine and quantitatively measuring the creatine with a good accuracy by operation at a time.
CONSTITUTION: A multilayered element for analyzing creatinine, having a reagent layer provided on a support and a porous developing layer thereon and containing at least creatininase, creatinase, sarcosine oxidase and a composition for detecting hydrogen peroxide. In the afore-mentioned element, creatinase is impregnated into a layer closer to the developing layer than the creatininase- containing layer and/or developing layer. Furthermore, a buffer agent in an amount sufficient to increase activity of the creatinase as compared with that of the creatininase is impregnated into the element.
