Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain 2,2-dibromo-2-nitrilopropionamide-containing composition useful for fumigation treatment of harvests infected with germs. CONSTITUTION: This 2,2-dibromo-2-nitrilopropionamide-containing composition comprises 2,2-dibromo-2-nitrilopropionamide (DBNPA) only or is provided in the form of its mixture with organic solvents (glycols, particularly dipropylene glycol) and/or water. This composition preferably contains 0-100wt.%, particularly 20%, of DBNPA, 0-80wt.%, specifically 60%, of organic solvents, and 0-80%, specifically 20%, of water, and is effective for treatment of potatoes and/or seed potatoes. The objective microorganisms for the fumigation are Erwinia carotovora, Streptomyces scabies, Fusarium oxysoprum, Verticillium dahliae, and Rhizoctonia solani.
