Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a pressure mechanism and the whole of an apparatus, by providing a moving mechanism to a probe. CONSTITUTION:Probes 2a, 2b are implanted in probe holders 9a, 9b to be suspended therefrom and the support rods 10a, 10b protruding from one side surface of the holders 9a, 9b are grasped by support parts not shown in a drawing. The holders 9a, 9b are moved in X- and Y-directions by the drive mechanism mounted in the support parts. Therefore, it is unnecessary to implant the probes 2a, 2b of the holders 9a, 9b in matching relation to the max. outer shape of a printed wiring board 1 to be inspected and the number of the probes can be reduced to a large extent. By this probe constitution, pressing force is reduced and the number of wiring cables are reduced and, therefore, the structure of a pressure mechanism and that of the whole of an apparatus become simple.
