Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the heat insulation property and sound insulation property of external facing glass by bonding the joint edges of outside glass plates to each other with a first waterproof sealing material and the outside glass plates to inside glass plates with second waterproof sealing materials and fixing the inside glass plates to sash frame members. CONSTITUTION: The joint edges of outside glass plates 10 arranged on the external surface of a building are bonded to each other with a first silicon waterproof sealing material 12. Then, one end faces of second silicon waterproof sealing materials 13 are bonded to the glass plates 10 along the internal surfaces of the end sections of the plates 10 by slightly shifting the bonding positions of the materials 13 from the edges of the plates 10 toward the centers of the plates 10. In addition, the opposite end faces of the materials 13 are bonded to inside glass plates 11 by slightly shifting the bonding positions from the edges of the plates 11 toward the centers of the plates 11. Moreover, the glass plates 11 are fixed to a metallic sash frame member 14 by utilizing the free end sections of the plates 11.
