Abstract
PURPOSE:To enlarge the printing region of a continuous form printing paper and ensure that a constantly fixed tension is applied to the printing paper, by using a motor capable of being rotated forward and reversely as each of driving motors for a feeding mechanism and a take-up mechanism, stopping the driving for take-up upon detection by a detecting circuit of an excessive starting current at a time other than the time of starting the take-up. CONSTITUTION:First, a DC motor M is turned ON to start. In this case, an inhibiting signal is inputted to an input V for a period of time T1, thereby ignoring an output II. Then, with a pulse motor P for a feeding mechanism started, the DC motor M shows stable rotation without any reaction force exerted from a receipt paper. When an output I is generated even after the inhibiting signal is inputted for the time T1, due to a mis-operation of the pulse motor P or the like, the rotation of the DC motor M is expeditiously stopped. Therefore, no excessive tension is exerted on the receipt paper 2. At the time of feeding the paper 2 reversely to return the paper to an initial printing position, a transistor for driving the motor M is switched to cause the motor M itself to rotate reversely, and a signal for the rotating direction of the pulse motor P is changed, whereby the paper 2 can be fed reversely without any slackening.
