Abstract

PURPOSE: To fabricate a bag with an anchor-socket fastening mechanism by attaching zipper strips to the outside surface of a bag, inserting part of the bag wall between the anchor and the socket of a make-and-break zipper, closing the bag with the zipper, and permanently securing the zipper strips to the edge section of the bag. CONSTITUTION: Zipper members 62, 63 can interlock zipper strips 61, 64 by pressing them against each other. A lift flap 65 on a bag wall 58 is secured to the closed zipper to close the tip opening of a bag. Pulling off bag a wall edge section 60 easily opens the top of the bag to release the lift flap 65. To permanently secure zipper strips 61, 64 to the bag wall edge section 60, an edge section 68 is welded, for example, by plastic welding head 71 to retaining anchors 69 extending through anchor holes 70 in the bag wall edge section 60.
