PURPOSE:To accurately and sharply display a bar code even on a large lot of a commodity, by mounting a synthetic resin sheet having the bar code printed thereon to a sheet molding machine to mold the same into a container so that the bar code comes to the flange part of the lid body or main body of the molded container. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic resin sheet is preset to a mold so that the place where a bar code 1 is printed on the synthetic resin sheet becomes the flange part 2 of a main body 4 or lid body 3 and clamped thereto. Subsequently, the synthetic resin sheet is heated to be softened and external force is applied to said sheet under vacuum or air pressure to mold a container. By this method, since the bar code 1 is printed beforehand, the erroneous application of the bar code can be prevented even if the mass production of the container is performed by the molding of the sheet and, in addition, since the printed part is present at the flange part 2, said bar code does not extend and contract even at the molding time of the sheet.
