Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for incorporating an automatic frequency controller (AFC) into the carrier reproducing device of a later stage by assembling a carrier frequency deviation detecting circuit and control voltage generating circuit in a frequency converting process and storing the error voltage to each burst by using a processor and RAM. CONSTITUTION:A phase error produced when a deviation exists in a carrier frequency is detected by a phase detector 2d as an error voltage and inputted to a control voltage generating circuit 3. The phase error is then A/D-converted by an A/D converter 3a at the timing of an A/D-converting signals 4 and sent to a processor 3b. The processor 3b performs smoothing by using the storing content of a RAM 3c designated by a RAM address signal 5 and the output data of the A/D converter 3a and sends it to a D/A converter 3d as control voltage data. The D/A converter 3d latches and D/A-converts the control voltage data at the timing of a D/A-converting signal 6 and controls a voltage-controlled oscillator 7. Therefore, the carrier frequency of the output signal always becomes a fixed value.
