Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve serviceability of automatic distribution warehouse by selecting an optimal operation mode from a plurality of predefined operation modes then determining the work to be carried out by a stacker crane and the associated shelf. CONSTITUTION:A stacker crane group controller 201 determines an optimal operation mode based on work records and work schedule provided from a conveyor group controller 208 and a stacker crane unit controller 209, then determines the content of work of a stacker crane 207 which has finished work and provides the content to the stacker crane unit controller 209. The stacker crane 207 carries out receiving/delivering work and rearranging work according to the work content. The stacker crane group controller 201 updates data based on information fed from an operation mode changer 202, a delivery demand setter 203, a conveyor controller 208 and the stacker crane unit controller 209. With such arrangement, work efficiency can be improved.
