Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide sure and stable connection by forming the connection through utilization of the pressure by a spring.
CONSTITUTION: Superconductors of oxide type 3 of superconductive conductors 1, 1' to be connected are placed one over another, and the overlapped part is pressed by a spring 4 from outside. The ends of these superconductive conductors 1, 1' and their superconductors 3 are placed one over another so that they contact directly with each other, and pressure equalizing plates 4 with a spring 5 are arranged outside them to provide an assembled housing 6. Accordingly the spring 5 is pressed by the housing 6, so that the pressure of spring 5 acts on the overlapped part of the superconductive conductors 1, 1' through the pressure equalizing plates 4 to accomplish close contact of the superconductors 3 over a wide area. This provides stable connection with high reliability.
