Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce unravelling on an inner rim and prevent sparks from being produced by making such that the inner rim of a gasket made of braidings of thin metallic wires is braided with a higher density than the area where a cylindrical opening of a waveguide comes into contact with.
CONSTITUTION: An inner rim area 26 of a gasket 25 is braided at a higher density than the rest of the area 27. Namely, the gasket 25 annularly braided with stainless steel wires or brass wires has the inner rim area 26 braided with a higher braiding density than that of the area 27 where a cylindrical opening 22 of a waveguide comes into contact with. A gasket like this can be formed with a single metallic wire or can be obtained by combining and joining annular braidings of both smaller and larger diameters formed with different braiding conditions and materials. This reduces unravelling on the inner rim and prevents sparks from being produced.
