Abstract
PURPOSE: To ensure the discharge of articles by disposing engaging mechanisms for putting the transporting plane of slat-like transporting bodies to a pendent posture nearly perpendicular behind a conveyor chain together with the slat-like transporting bodies on holders. CONSTITUTION: A prescribed number of the slat-like transporting bodies 16 meeting the sizes of chain ring pitches are pivoted to the respective holders 15. If the chain ring pitches are large, the pivoting of, for example, three pieces of the slat-like transporting bodies 16 is made possible to reduce the width in the progressing direction of the slat-like transporting bodies 16. There is, therefore, no need for supplying the articles 10 at relatively large spaced intervals so as not to place the articles 10 more than one piece for each one piece of the slat-like transporting bodies 16 at the time of supplying the articles 10 onto the conveyor chain 1. The random supply of the articles at nearly irregular intervals is thus possible.
