Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent return of dust to a carpet, and improve dust collecting performance by positively taking blow from an outer air taking port in addition to leak blow from fit parts formed of a suction main body and a cleaning surface of the carpet or the like. CONSTITUTION: Leak blow from an aperture part in a back plate 22 of a carpet flows into a communication pipe 24, air flows in through a communication port 29 on the side of an auxiliary rotary brush 28, and a cross-sectional surface of a passage in the communication port 29 is set to be roughly similar to the minimum passage cross-sectional surface of a belt cover 26, so air on the side of the auxiliary rotary brush 28 flows into a dust suction chamber 21 to the maximum. Dust separated by the auxiliary rotary brush 28 is sucked to the dust suction chamber 21 with mass quantity of air, and dust collecting efficiency at this part, that is an end part, is improved. By mass quantity of air flows in from the side of the auxiliary rotary brush 28, dust separated from the carpet by a main rotary brush 18 in the dust suction chamber 21 is sucked into the communication pipe 24 without reattachment to the carpet or the like, thereby dust collecting efficiency as a whole can be improved.
