Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it possible to read out an original document and an edited document by forming a difference mark document for adding an addition mark and a deletion mark respectively to an addition part and a deletion part at the time of editing the original document. CONSTITUTION:When a central processing unit (CPU) 56 receives the input of an information code on which a difference mark is set up from an input device 51 and edits a document extracted from a document storing device 58 and stored in an edition document storing device 55, the document is marked by the codes distinguishing the addition part and the deletion part respectively and recorde. When the difference mark document is stored in the device 55 and the edition of the difference document is specified in case of a difference document, the CPU 56 extracts only the prescribed mark part in the difference mark document by adding prescribed information to the prescribed mark part, edites the extracted part as a difference document and stores the edited document in an edited document storing device as the substitution of the difference mark document. Consequently, the original document and the edited document can be read out.
