PURPOSE:To transmit two signals in which a luminance signal (Y signal) and a color sub-carrier signal (Sc signal) are separated for a high resolution by means of one pulse string by modulating the luminance signal at a pulse interval out of high resolution type color televisional signals in which the luminance signal and the color sub-carrier signal are separated, simultaneously executing a pulse-width-modulation to the modulated pulse signal with the color sub-carrier signal and transmitting it. CONSTITUTION:A Y-signal is pulse-frequency-modulated (PFM) before-hand and the information of the Y and Sc-signals are transmitted with one pulse string by executing the pulse-width-modulation by means of the Sc-signal from the leading (or trailing) edge part of this PFM signal. Namely, the Y-signal is given to the pulse interval of the pulse string, the Sc-signal information is given to the pulse width, about the 2.5-4 times the Y-signal frequency band are sufficient for the fundamental wave frequency of this pulse string.
