Abstract

PURPOSE:To display three-dimensionally and monitor the thermal behavior of a CV cable by applying a plurality of markings in the longitudinal direction of the cable by means of a near infrared absorbing paint in said CV cable or its connection laid in a telephone tunnel and by reading a position change on the basis of said markings. CONSTITUTION:A CV cable 8 is placed on a trough 12 within a telephone tunnel 13, and said CV cable 8 and its connection 9 are supported by longitudinal fittings 10 and horizontal fittings 14 within a manhole part 11, when said cable is laid down. In the longitudinal direction of said CV cable 8 and its connection 9, a plurality of markings 15 are applied by means of a near infrared absorbing paint. Also, infrared cameras 1a, 1b are arranged so as to have a given base length l corresponding to two origins in a trigonometrical survey. When the CV cable 8 is turned ON and its position is shifted, the lapse of time and change of markings 15 are computed and composed three-dimensionally, and a signal is sent as a three-dimensional movement to an image outputting device.
