Abstract

PURPOSE:To shield a room from an electromagnetic wave and automate a means to carry equipment and materials in and out of the room so as to improve the efficiency and enable reduction of labor, by a method wherein a door at a doorway opens and shuts automatically and an electrically conductive elastic shielding material is used which is hollow and expands when the door is closed, where the shielding materials used for the door and the peripheral part of the doorway are electrically combined in one piece. CONSTITUTION:An electrically conductive rubber tube 25, which expands by compressed air supplied by an air pump 2, is provided along the periphery of a doorway 3 in such a manner as it shapes like a picture frame. The rubber tube 25 is to shield a doorway 3 electromagnetically when a door 5 is closed and an air pump 23 which supplies compressed air is controlled by a controlling means 27. The rubber tube expanded by compressed air bears against the shielding materials of a shielding wall 7 of the doorway 3, door stop frames 9 and 19, a door containing frame 21 and the like, combining electrically the shielding door 5 and other shielding materials into one piece so as to shield the doorway 3 electromagenetically.
