Generally, artificial stone is made by adding cement, pigment, and water to aggregate, kneading and hardening the mixture, and applying surface finishing such as polishing. The decorative determining factor of artificial stone is the color of the aggregate and pigment, and most conventional artificial stones use crushed stone grains such as marble or granite as aggregate. Therefore,
Most conventional artificial stones have only monotonous, dull and similar decorative properties, and when used as finishing materials for exterior walls, floors, ceilings, etc. of buildings, there is little variation. In recent years, by mixing different types of seed stones,
Various attempts have been made to develop materials with varying color tones that are different from natural stone, but all of them use materials that have almost the same decorative characteristics as conventional aggregates, so there are no differences in color or decoration. It has not been sublimated to the point where it has achieved a significant change.

A 1 and A 2 in Fig. 1 are the aggregates used based on this invention.Aqueous silver nitrate solution is poured onto the surface of crushed grains 1 of colorless or colored transparent glass, and colloidal silver 2 is mixed with caustic soda or the like. is deposited to form a mirror on the inner surface of the glass, and a protective film 3 such as an alkali-resistant synthetic resin coating that can withstand the alkaline components of cement is formed on the surface. As such a synthetic resin paint, one or a mixture of resin paints such as vinyl chloride, epoxy melamine, epoxy polyamide, and polyurethane can be used.

The glass particles 1 may be colored, colorless, irregularly shaped, or fixed in shape as long as they have translucency, and the glass particles 1 may be made by crushing waste materials of various glass products into approximately the same size as conventional aggregates. I can do it. Moreover, this aggregate A can be used in place of all or part of conventional aggregates.

FIG. 2 shows an artificial stone semi-finished product formed by kneading and hardening the above-mentioned aggregate A, cement 4, and conventional aggregate 5 with water. Regardless of whether the aggregate A is used as all or a part of the aggregate, the aggregate A is present on the surface of the semi-finished artificial stone product.

When making a finished product of artificial stone, the surface of the semi-finished product is made of aggregate A, as illustrated in FIG.
Polishing or other finishing processing is performed up to the finishing line L where a part of the stone is ground to directly expose the glass grains on the surface of the artificial stone, and expose the mirror surface to the surface through the glass. FIG. 3 shows an example of an artificial stone in which aggregate A having a mirror surface is thus scattered inside.

As mentioned above, the artificial stone according to this invention has aggregate A made of transparent glass with a mirror surface inside on the finished surface, so as shown in FIG. When the beam hits the aggregate A, most of the light enters the glass, is reflected by the internal mirror surface, and exits through the glass again. Depending on the shape of the glass grain, the light may come out from the surface by a single reflection, or it may come out by being diffusely reflected many times by the inner surface of the glass. Furthermore, the directivity of the reflected light also varies depending on the shape of the glass grains or mirror surface. In any case, the amount of reflected light is much greater than the amount of reflected light from surfaces other than the aggregate A portion, so this artificial stone strongly attracts people's visual attention, something that cannot be predicted from conventional artificial stone. It gives an unexpected decorative impression.

Furthermore, if transparent glass with a desired color is used for the glass grains, the reflected light will be colored;
It is possible to provide richer decorative properties in terms of color tone, chromaticity, and brightness.

In addition to scattering the aggregate A casually over the entire surface as shown in Figure 3, the aggregate A can also be placed along a desired pattern, with conventional aggregates exposed on the surface other than the aggregate A. In this way, the outline of the pattern can be made clearer.

The shape of the glass particles 1 can be made into a substantially constant shape or spherical by devising the granulation method or by selecting the original shape of the glass product. The directionality of the light can be controlled to some extent from a decorative standpoint or for some information display purposes.

As described above, the artificial stone according to this invention is made by depositing silver on the surface of transparent glass grains to form a mirror on the inner surface, and using aggregate made of an alkali-resistant protective film on the surface. Manufacture a product, make the aggregate exist at least on the surface of the artificial stone semi-finished product, grind a part of the aggregate according to the surface finish of the artificial stone semi-finished product, and see the mirror surface of the aggregate through glass. Since it is exposed on the surface, significant reflected light is emitted from the glass grains, giving it a decorative quality not found in conventional artificial stones.Also, if the incident direction of light differs, the amount of reflected light or Since the direction also changes, there are many variations in decorativeness.
