NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula (X is H, halogen or methoxy). EXAMPLE:2-Fluoro-4-nitrophenyl-N-acetyl-beta-D-glucosaminide. USE:A substrate for N-acetyl-beta-D-acetylhexosamidase activity-measuring reagent. PREPARATION:For example, N-acetylhexosamine is acetylated and the acetylated N-acetylhexosamin is linked with 2-fluoro-4-nitrophenol and then the resultant product is deacetylated.
