Abstract

PURPOSE:To attain sufficient dry performance and wet performance which have antinomic relationship therebetween by providing a lot of longitudinal grooves parallel to the equator of a tire and slant grooves increasing in angle intersecting the equator of the tire as they do toward the shoulder side. CONSTITUTION:A tire 1 has a compression which is a ratio of the height to the tread surface to the width, that is, the distance between the maximum width positions, and set under 0.7. A lot of longitudinal grooves G1-G3 are provided on the tread surface, whereby a center rib 25 and a lot of rib-like portions 26, 27, 29 are respectively formed. A lot of slant grooves J connected to a sub-groove G4 are provided in such a manner as to intersect the respective longitudinal grooves G1-G3, whereby a lot of block lines 26B, 27B, 29B are respectively formed. The respective angles A1-A3 of the respective slant grooves J intersecting the longitudinal grooves G1-G3, respectively are set in such a manner as to have the relationship, A1<A2<A3. Thus, rectilinear and turning performance on dry road surface and hydroplane-resisting performance on wet road surface can be respectively improved.
