Abstract

PURPOSE:To detect the busy tone at the talking mode capable of transmission and reception, and attain automatic on-hook by detecting a busy tone while applying a minute time mute periodically to a transmission signal. CONSTITUTION:At first whether or not a communication opposite party is hooked off is checked. In case of the hook-off, a switch 1 is turned on and a telephone line is closed. A microcomputer 8 uses an internal counter to turn off a switch 4 by 100musec for each 10msec, thereby cutting off a signal from a speaker phone microphone 5. Then the signal state at the switch 4 turned off is inputted periodically through a BPF 6 and a signal presence detection circuit 7 to recognize the signal. As the state of the telephone set in such a case, the switch 1 remains turned on and the communication is attained. When the opposite party hooks on and it is recognized that the input signal is a busy tone, the computer 8 turns off the switch 1 to open the telephone line, thereby causing the hook-on state.
