Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve even greater reproducibility, by using a mullite ceramic ball as solid phase for holding an antibody to expand a detection limit of an antigen on the low density side in an immunological analysis. CONSTITUTION:A mullite ceramic ball is used as solid phase to adsorb an antibody on a surface in a solid antibody for immunological analysis used to measure the density of an antigen substance. An adsorption of the antibody is increased to enable a higher detection sensitivity in immunological analysis. The mullite ceramic ball solid phase has a greater adsorption of the antibody as compared with a polystyrene solid phase, for instance, probably because a higher biological affinity of the mullite ceramic ball.
