Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve corrosive resistance at high temp. by heattreating Fe or Ni base alloy powder containing Al under the prescribed condition, firmly combining alloy powder with base metal and coating porous surface with aluminum oxide. CONSTITUTION:The Fe or Ni base alloy containing 1-10wt.% Al is melted. The powder made of this alloy is heat-treated under oxidizing atmosphere at 400-1200 deg.C for>=0.5min and aluminum oxide film is formed on the surface. Next, after removing a part of this coating layer, this powder is compacted into the prescribed shape. Successively, this green compact is sintered under reducing atomosphere.
