Abstract
PURPOSE:To rapidly open the inhalation valve of an apparatus and to allow a child to easily respire, by controlling the air feed start period to an inhalation tube by a sensor detecting the depression or protuberance on the surface of the body based on a thoracic motion. CONSTITUTION:This sensor is constituted so that a pressure-sensitive sensor part 3 elastically pressed to the surface of an objective surface 24 by the elasticity of gauze 30 so that the pressure-sensitive surface thereof is matched with the objective part 24 and both of them are integrally fixed by a fixing adhesive tape 31. When a depression part 24a is generated in the objective part 24 from this state, the response pressure of the sensor part 3 becomes an attenuated or pressure non-sensitive state. Since this state coincides with the generation of the depression 24a, that is, the early stage of inhalation start, by setting set pressure so as to be capable of certainly detecting a pressure value, this artificial respiration apparatus 1 can be controlled according to a volume-controlled system. That is, when the detected pressure by the sensor part 3 becomes lower than the set pressure, a control part 2 is operated to open the valve of an inhalation tube 6 and one dose amount of air or oxygen is sent to the trachea of a patient through a tracheal tube 8.
