Abstract

PURPOSE: To suppress the reduction in sucking force or generation of abnormal sound by providing an indicator bar mounted on an opening and closing plate and pressing the opening and closing plate by the atmospheric pressure to open a hole when the pressure of a dust collecting chamber is reduced by the accumulation of dust in a body. CONSTITUTION: When dust is not so much accumulated in a dust collecting bag 4, an opening and closing plate 10 still closes a hole 8 by the energizing force of a spring 12 to prevent the inflow of air to the dust collecting chamber 3 since the pressure in a dust collecting chamber 3 is not suddenly reduced even by ON of the power source of an electric blower 11. When dust is considerably accumulated in the dust collecting bag 4, the opening plate 10 is moved to open the hole 8 since the pressure in the dust collecting chamber 3 is suddenly reduced by the load of the dust collecting bag 4 when the power source of the electric blower 11 is on, and the force of the air added to the opening and closing plate 10 overcomes the pressure in the dust collecting chamber 3 and the force added to the opening and closing plate 10 by the spring 12. The air flows from a chamber 7 into the dust collecting chamber 3 to cool the electric blower 11. Since an indicator bar 13 mounted on the opening and closing plate 10 is also moved, the accumulation of dust in the dust collecting chamber 3 can be found by the change of the position of the indicator bar 13.
