Abstract

The electrode 3 is situated in at least outside of a display screen 2, and since the bent part is situated nearer to the central part than the electrode 3, such a Faraday dark space that is inevitably produced at discharge exists at the outside of the screen, and at the part entered in the screen inside, surface brightness of the lamp 1 can be almost uniformized. With this constitution, variations in luminance on the screen can be reduced, and an extrusion size from the screen is formable in one direction among four directions of the screen, but the size can be checked by tube diametral dimensions of the lamp.
