Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain an economic candle capable of being packed into a vertically movable holder, producing neither lamp soot nor smoke, readily extinguishable, providing an optimum condition of wick in reignition, by using a semipermanent material such as glass fibers, not readily to be consumed as a wick. CONSTITUTION:A wick 1 consisting of a material such as glass fibers not readily to be consumed is put in a wick holder 2, an extinguishing lever 3 is attached to the lower part of the holder 2, the lever 3 is dropped, the wick together with the wick holder 2 is lowered and the wick is sunk in wax. A pulling up spring 4 is set to raise the candle. Then a hole is bored at the central part of the candle to pass through the wick holder 2 and the wick is fixed to the candle. Further the candle case 8 is separated from a candlestick mounting holder 7 and a case cover can be replaced.
