Abstract

CONSTITUTION:As a detent pin 6 is moved downward by pushing a knob button 11 to shift a shift lever 1 to a P position, a lock pin 14 falls into and is engaged with a lock groove 17 due to the energizing force of a spring 8. Thereby, the movement of the shift lever 1 is restrained. When brake is applied by pressing a foot brake pedal, a stop lamp switch 23 is turned on causing an electromagnetic actuator to be excited to advance an operating piece 19, which makes the cam part 19a on the tip of the operating piece 19 push up the lock pin 14 to remove it out of the lock groove 17, thereby, removing the restraint of the shaft lever 1.
