Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of rolling, by a method wherein, in a suspen sion device the ground clearance of which is regulable, lateral acceleration at each specified steering angle is estimated from a car speed and a steering angle, further, a roll angle and a change in length of the hydraulic cylinder of each wheel is calculated, and a pressure oil target feed and discharge amount is computed. CONSTITUTION:When a detecting signal at each specified steering angle outputted from a steering angle sensor 12 and a detecting signal from a car speed sensor 13 are inputted to a controller 11, lateral acceleration at each specified steering angle is estimated. A roll angle produced by lateral accelera tion is calculated, and a change in length of each of hydraulic cylinders 3a-3d for respective wheels is calculated based on the roll angle. Based on the change in length, a target feed and discharge amount required for stabilization of orien tation is decided. Based on the target feed and discharge amount, pressure oil is fed and discharged alternately to and from right and left wheels at each specified angle and each specified time. For example, during turn to right, after pressure oil is fed to the right, it is discharged from the left, This constitu tion enables reliable prevention of the occurrence of rolling.
