Abstract
PURPOSE:To constitute a transluscent film by a dielectric substance in a state that polarization dependancy is very less by constituting the titled optical unit of three prisms, providing an air layer between a 1st prism and a 2nd prism and applying tilt angle to satisfy full reflecting conditions. CONSTITUTION:Image information light 5 from a camera lens is made incident on a prism 1, the border between the prisms 1 and 2 is tilted with respect to the optical axis and the air layer 4 is provided. The image information light 5 passes through the air layer 4 without almost causing deviation in the optical path or disturbance in the wave front and reaches the adhering face between the prisms 2, 3. The adhered face is tilted with respect to the optical axis and the dielectric transluscent film 6 where a difference in transmissivity between P and S polarized light components is 10% or less is formed. The reflected light reaches the border of the prisms 1, 2 again as the color signal light 9 and the total reflection condition is satisfied by the presence of the tilt angle and the air layer 4 this time and goes toward the solid-state image pickup element 7. Thus, the polarization dependancy is reduced.
