Abstract

PURPOSE:To stabilize a seeker platform set via a gimbal axis without increasing the scale of the platform by controlling the torque applied to the gimbals via a machine angular speed sensor and therefore suppressing the influence of the machine oscillation. CONSTITUTION:A seeker target detector 14 is provided on a platform 15 set via a gimbal axis l of a gimbal mechanism 11 incorporated into a flying object. A target is tracked by the detector 14 and the flying object is guided. A gimbal axis angular speed sensor 13 is set in a space formed at a position symmetrical to a torquer 12 of the mechanism 11. Thus the space occupied by the mechanism 11 is not increased. At the same time, the detection output of a machine angular speed sensor 16 is also supplied via an adder 18 and a compensating circuit 19 and the feedback control is applied to the torquer 12. Thus the influence of the machine oscillation is suppressed to the mechanism 11 and therefore the platform 15 is stabilized without increasing the scale of its constitution. Thus it is possible to obtain a guiding device that can track a target with high accuracy.
