Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance low-temperature fixability, and resistances to offset and blocking by mixing a specified cross-linked polyester with a specified straight- chain polyester at a specified temperature. CONSTITUTION:The resin to be used for the toner is produced by mixing 100pts. wt. of the cross-linked polyester (A) having a glass transition point of >=50 deg.C and a softening point of >=200 deg.C with 0.5-80pts.wt. of the straight chain polyester (B) having a softening point of <=150 deg.C and a weight average molecular weight of 3,000-50,000 at a temperature of said softening point of the polyester (B) -230 deg.C. It is preferred that a polycondensate of a mixture of terephthalic acid and isophthalic acid, and ethylene glycol is used for the polyester (B), and a polycondensate of a mixture of trimellitic acid, terephthalic acid, and isophthalic acid, and ethylene glycol and/or aromatic diol, or the like is used for the polyester (A).
