Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain an optical product having excellent reflection protecting property, by coating the surface of a plastic transparent base material having a hard coat film whose refractive index is a specific value or more with a fluorine-containing organic polysiloxane thin film having a specific thickness and a specific refractive index.
CONSTITUTION: As the plastic transparent base materials, acrylic resin, polystyrene, and their copolymers are preferably used. It is necessary that a hard coat film has a refractive index of 1.52 or more and if the value is smaller than 1.52, it can not be substantially expected that the reflection protecting effect is generated. On the surface of the plastic transparent base material consisting of this hard coat film, a fluorine-containing organic polysiloxane thin film whose refractive index is at least 0.02 lower than that of said hard coat film is applied. This thin film is a transparent film prepared by coating with a film of a fluorine-containing organic polysiloxane represented by the formula (I) and/or its hydrolyzed compound and curing it. The film thickness is adquate when it is 10W500nm and if the thickness is thinner than this value, sufficient reflection protecting effect and surface hardness can not be obtained. On the other hard, when the thickness is thicker than this value, it is impossible to improve the effect of the reflection protecting property.
