PURPOSE:To improve sorting efficiency for scraps and samples by cutting a strip and simultaneously accelerating winding speed of the strip to separate cut ends and by sorting the cut scraps and samples through attracting force of an electromagnet and by inductively discharging. CONSTITUTION:The strip A is cut by a traveling cutter 1 and simultaneously the winding speed of a winding machine 2 is accelerated instantaneously and the cut ends of the strip is separated a little. Immediately after this, the scrap A1 of the prescribed length are cut by the traveling cutter 1. In the same instance, a magnetic roll 9 of the inducing device 3 and the electromagnet 4 are excited then by this attractive force, the scrap A1 is discharged inductively under the traveling line B to drop into a box 5. Successively, when the sample A2 is cut out, at the same time of the cutting the sample A2, the magnetic roll 10 of the inducing device 6 and total electromagnets 7 are excited and by these attractive forces, the sample A2 is fed to a sample receiver 8 on upward the travelling line B.
