Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain a practical high performance battery by using a conductive polymer prepared by polymerizing a specific thiophene substitution product or pyrrole substitution product as a positive electrode material. CONSTITUTION:Thiophene substitution product or pyrrole substitution product whose at least second and fifth positions are not substituted such as 3- bromothiophene and 1-trimethyl silyl pyrrole is polymerized by electrolytic polymerization to prepare a conductive polymer. This conductive polymer is used as a positive electrode of a secondary battery. Electron attractive property or electron donative property peculiar to the substituting group increases stabil ity and conductivity in electrolytic anion doping. In the presence of the substitut ing group, affinity with a current collector and an electrolyte is increased, and electron transfer is made easy. The internal resistance of the battery is decreased and charge-discharge efficiency is increased. A practical, high perfor mance secondary battery can be obtained.
