Abstract

PURPOSE: To dye a blended material of modified animal hair fibers introduced with a quaternary ammonium base and non-modified animal hair fibers in multicolors having clear pepper-and-salt tone effect by using or wool dye in the absence of an acid. CONSTITUTION: A blended material (e.g. blended, plied yarn or union cloth material) of modified animal hair fibers in which beast hair fibers such as wool are introduced with quaternary ammonium base by using a cationic agent such as 2,3-epoxypropyl trimethylammonium chloride and non-modified beast hair fibers is dyed by using an wool dye in the absence of an acid initiating at a normal temperature, keeping at 70 deg.C for 10-30 min and at 100 deg.C for 10 min. By the dyeing method, an animal hair fiber material having clear pepper- and-salt tone effect is obtained. Its color fastness is also excellent.
