Normally, glass is attached to a shoji by inserting the glass into a groove on the inner circumferential side of the stile with a rubber pad interposed therebetween, and filling the gap between the glass and the groove with a sealing material. Note that one side of the groove of the stile into which the glass is attached may be constructed with a ridged edge.

By the way, insulated windows have recently come to be used from the viewpoint of heat insulation and prevention of dew condensation. That is, a heat-insulating window is a shoji stile made up of an outdoor stile and an indoor stile, both of which are connected by a heat insulating material that blocks heat conduction. In the case of revolving windows, hinges are attached to either the outdoor stile or the indoor stile to avoid heat conduction. The installation of the glass on the shoji in this insulated window is exactly the same as for normal windows, but the stile of the shoji connects the outdoor stile and the indoor stile with a heat insulating material, and the glass is connected between the outdoor stile and the indoor stile. is located between. The insulation material that connects the outdoor stile and the indoor stile is often made of synthetic resin, and there is a risk that this insulation material will catch fire in the event of a fire. In the unlikely event that a fire breaks out and the flames reach this window, the insulation material will burn and the stile will fall, as well as the glass falling, making the disaster even worse. In addition, in the case of a revolving window, the stile on the side that is not connected to the window frame will fall.

Therefore, in view of the above-mentioned circumstances, the present invention was designed to prevent the glass from falling even if the insulation material burns in a fire and the connection between the outdoor and indoor stile is severed. The holder is placed on the hinge support side of either the outdoor stile or the indoor stile.

The stopper piece 40 provided on the left side frame 3 and the stopper piece 40 provided on the right side frame 4 are the shoji 6 that rotates around the vertical axis.
In order to stop the movement, the bending direction of the tip is different. That is, the right frame 3 faces indoors, and the right frame 4 faces outdoors.

In the above heat insulating vertical rotating window, a holder 41 for preventing the glass 12 from falling is provided as follows.
The holder 41 is made of metal, has an L-shaped cross section, and consists of a base plate 42 and an engaging portion 43. The base plate 42 has a through hole 45 for a mounting bolt 44. This holder 41
, the engaging part 43 is located outside the glass 12 and the substrate part 42 is placed in the groove 35 on the inner circumferential side of the frame 11.
abutting the bottom of the groove 35 above or below,
A mounting bolt 44 is inserted through the through hole 45 and screwed onto the inner surface of the indoor side stile 25 or 26 of the indoor side stile 38. On both sides of the glass 12, similarly to the vertical direction, the engaging portions 43 hold the holder 41 on the glass 1.
2, the base plate 42 is placed in contact with the bottom of the groove 35 from which the protrusion 46 has been removed on the side of the glass 12, and the mounting bolt 44 is inserted through the through hole 45 to vertically connect the indoor side of the indoor sill 38. Screw it onto the inner surfaces of the frames 29 and 30. Note that the removed portion of the protrusion 46 is made larger than the width of the holder 41. It is preferable that the holders 41 are attached before the glass 12 is attached, and that they are arranged so as not to interfere with the glass 12, and that about two holders are provided on both the upper and lower sides. Further, although the holder 41 is described as having an L-shaped cross section, it is not limited to this shape.

Furthermore, although we have talked about the retention of glass in insulated windows, it is also possible to maintain the glass when the connection between the outdoor stile and the indoor stile, or between the outdoor window frame and the indoor window frame is broken. It is possible to provide a tool.

As described above, the present invention provides an insulated window in which an outdoor stile and an indoor stile are connected using a heat insulating material, in which the connection between the outdoor stile and the indoor stile is broken near the upper and lower edges of the glass. This is a glass retainer for an insulated window that has a retainer that engages and supports it, and is attached to the hinge support side of either the outdoor stile or the indoor stile. Even if one stile falls, the glass is engaged and supported by the holder attached to the other stile, preventing the glass from falling, thereby minimizing the risk of disaster.
Moreover, since the holder has a relatively simple structure, the present invention can be implemented easily and at low cost.
