Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce over-all cost such as air-conditioning cost and facility cost, by applying an infrared absorbing or transmitting treatment to the surface of a reflecting plate of an illumination apparatus integrated with an air- conditioning duct and placing an infrared reflection filter under the illumination apparatus. CONSTITUTION:An illumination device 3 has a suction (or blasting) port 13 of air at the outer circumference and is provided with a reflection plate 15 having a reflection surface applied with an infrared absorption treatment to absorb or transmit infrared radiation generated from a light source 12. An infrared reflection filter 14 is placed under the illumination tool 3 to suppress the dissipation of the heat generated from the light source 12 into the growth environment. Return air is exhausted from a pipe duct 7 by closing a valve 9 and opening a valve 8. In winter season, waste heat is reutilized by operating the valves in reversed manner.
