Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the substantial utilizing efficiency of a line by sending a packet duplexly if the frequency of packet retransmission exceeds a preset value thereby reducing the retransmission rate of a packet. CONSTITUTION:A sent packet number A and a retransmitted packet number E are set to counters 13, 12 respectively at the sender side to monitor the packet retransmission rate R at all times. If the retransmission rate R exceeds a permissible retransmission rate M stored in advance in the memory 14, the packets, formal and copy packets of the same content are sent consecutively till the rate R becomes lower than the permissible rate M. On the other hand, the reception side 20 has reception buffers 22, 23 and if both formal/copy packets are or only one packet is reached, only one packet is set to the buffers 22, 23 and the packet without error is taken in formal data.
