Abstract
PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for maintenance by eluting an ion sensitive material in an ion sensitive film consisting of silver halide and silver sulfide in a high-polymer resin by a chelate agent soln. and forming a semipermeable membrane on the surface of the sensitive film. CONSTITUTION:The silver chloride and silver sulfide of the ion sensitive material are mixed in the form of superfine particles sized about 20mum with a plasticizer and film base material by which the sheet of the sensitive film of a solid film type is obtd. The sheet is then blanked to a circular shape and is joined to the end of a cylindrical body 1. This body is immersed into an aq. soln. contg. sodium thiosulfate as a chelate agent to form a semipermeable membrane layer 5 having fine pores sized about 0.05mum on the surface of the ion sensitive film 4. After a sodium chloride liquid 2 is injected into the body 1, the internal electrode 3 of a silver/silver chloride wire is inserted into the liquid 2. The sensitive film 4 and the semipermeable membrane layer 5 are, therefore, made into integral structure by which the durability is improved.
