Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve the minimization in the reduction of scraping performance of a scraper caused by the elongation of a conveyor belt by relatively pressing the scraper and a roller from both sides of the return course of the conveyor belt by a spring deflecting force. CONSTITUTION:When the elongation of a belt 18 is caused, during service, by receiving both a burdened load of material to be conveyed and a spring deflecting force via a scraper 20, the scraper 20 pushes up the return course 18b of a conveyor belt in the vertical upward direction, so that the return course 18b is curved. As a result, although the slackening of the belt 18 can be prevented, the spring deflecting force is decreased, so that the scraping performance of the scraper 20 is reduced. In order to restrain this, a roller 36 capable of rotation is provided so as to be in contact with the back surface of the return course 18b. Since the arranging level of the roller 36 is invariably maintained, when the scraper 20 moves upward in response to the elongation of the belt 18, the roller 36 exerts a downward force to the return course 18b relatively to the movement of the scraper 20. Thus, the amount of upward movement of the scraper 20 can be reduced, and the spring deflecting force exerted thereon or the reduction in the scraping performance can be minimized.
