内にコロナ放電用ワイヤが配設されており、該コ
ロナ放電用ワイヤが前記シールドケースの放電用
開口部を介して感光体と対向するように、該感光
体とは相対移動可能に配設された電子写真用コロ
ナ放電器において、 前記シールドケースの放電用開口部とはコロナ
放電用ワイヤを挟んで対向するシールドケースの
側面部に、該コロナ放電用ワイヤの放電領域にお
ける各端部を除く部分に対向して開設されたスリ
ツトと、 前記シールドケースにおける感光体移動方向下
流側に相当する側面部内周面に配設された絶縁体
と、 を具備することを特徴とする電子写真用コロナ放
電器。 2 前記コロナ放電用ワイヤの放電領域における
各端部が10mm以上の長さである実用新案登録請
求の範囲第1項に記載の電子写真用コロナ放電器
