Abstract
PURPOSE:To mitigate the hunting frequency by making the control gain reflecting the vehicle speed deviation onto the throttle opening lower than the normal value when an idle switch detecting the full closure of a throttle is turned on during the constant-speed travel control. CONSTITUTION:In the duty control type constant-speed travel control, the difference (VM-V) between the memory vehicle speed VM and the travel vehicle speed V is converted into the duty D by the preset control gain G1, and a throttle actuator 18 is driven by the control duty D added with the standard duty SD to it to perform the constant-speed travel control of a vehicle. When an idle switch 20 detecting the full closure of a throttle is turned on, the control gain G1 reflecting the vehicle speed deviation onto the throttle opening is switched to a value G2 lower then the normal value. An FF21 storing the change of the idle switch 20 from off to on is provided, and it is reset when the travel vehicle speed becomes lower than the memory vehicle speed VM.
