Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve a rationalization of measuring work and a higher accuracy, by lifting and moving a plate body to be measured by vacuum suction while a measuring device is set at a fixed position. CONSTITUTION:A frame 19 of a suction pad 20 is adjusted to match a plate body 13 to be measured and the plate body 13 is placed on a controller 23 using a teaching device 24 and a position and a measuring position on a flat plate 11 to be taken off are inputted. As started with a control panel 25, a moving device 15 lowers the suction pad 20 onto the plate body 13 to suck it in vacuum; then, the plate body 13 is lifted and a first plate thickness measuring position is lowered to match the position of a measuring section 14. The measuring section 14 lowers to measure the thickness of the plate body and rises again after the results are recorded on the device 23. Then, a second measuring position is shifted to match the position of the measuring section 14 and a measurement is performed. The results of measurement are displayed on a printer 25. This achieves efficient operation by automatic measurement and a higher accuracy as the measurement is performed at a fixed position, thereby realizing a rationalization and a higher accuracy without damage otherwise caused by the movement by vacuum suction.
