CONSTITUTION:In an electrodeposition tank 1 containing paint 1a, the material 2 to be coated of a high thickness specification and the material 3 to be coated of a low thickness specification hung in an arbitrary sequence on hangers 5 are carried on conveyors 4 in an A-direction. A plurality of bus bars 6a-6k and grids 7a-7c are arranged facing each other and a voltage is impressed to the bus bars 6a-6k and the grids 7a-7c to conduct coating operation. In this time, coating thickness of a low thickness specification is provided on the materials 2, 3 to be coated as far as the bus bar 6c, the arranging pitch of each bus bar 6d-6k is made equal to or under that of the hangers 5 from the bus bar 6d on and a switch 13 is changed over and electric current is applied so that the coating thickness of a high thickness specification is provided on the material 2 and the coating thickness of a low thickness specification is provided on the material 3.
