CONSTITUTION: Focus and tracking gain controlling circuits 12 and 13 are capable of switching gains respectively and set to standard gains, but the gains of the servo circuits 12 and 13 are made large when the error signals FE and TE are large and small when the error signals FE and TE are small, thereby performing proper operation according to the circumstances. Consequently, the best operation conditions are decided, malfunction due to vibrations, etc., is reducible without deteriorating flaw passing characteristics of a disk in a stationary state, and the servo gains are easily set.
