Abstract
PURPOSE:To quantitatively determine the depressed state of the papillary part of the eyeground necessary for the diagnosis of glaucoma, by projecting the laser beam from a beam source on the eyeground through a beam splitting member and a scanning optical system and receiving the reflected beam by a beam position detecting element through the scanning optical system and the beam splitting member. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam emitted from a beam source 1 is projected on the eyeground Er of an eye E to be examined through an iris plate 2, a convex lens 3, the aperture 4a of an eccentric iris 4, a relay lens 6, a scanning mirror 7, a relay lens 8, a scanning mirror 9 and a relay lens 10 and the reflected laser beam goes back through the optical system to be reflected by a beam splitting member 5 and passes through the aperture 11a of an eccentric iris 11 and an image forming lens 12 to be received by a beam position detecting element 13. By this method, the beam position detecting element 13 grasps reflectivity from depth data and a level and outputs the same to a display monitor 15 to obtain the image of the eyeground and the unevenness data at each position thereof.
